Step 1: Know Your PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter)

PCD refers to the number of bolt holes and the diameter of the circle they form.

  • Example: 5×114.3
    • 5 bolts spaced evenly
    • 114.3mm diameter bolt circle

Every car has a specific PCD. If it doesn’t match, the wheel simply won’t bolt on no matter how stylish it is.

 

Step 2: Understand Offset (ET)

Offset determines how far in or out your wheels sit in the wheel arch.

  •  Positive Offset (ET +): Wheels sit further inside the arch common for most everyday vehicles.
  •  Negative Offset (ET -): Wheels push outward used for wider, more aggressive stances (popular in 4x4s and modified builds).
