TiAuto reconfirms its commitment to protecting the environment

National automotive fitment centre chain, TYRES & MORE® has announced a deal with DSTV`s SuperSport making it the Official Broadcast Sponsor of the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Xfinity series from 2016 through 2018.

Both stock car racing series take place exclusively in the United States, but are enjoyed globally with a firm and growing fan base in South Africa. The Sprint Cup is the NASCAR franchise`s premier series for professional race car drivers, while the Xfinity Series serves the semi-professional racers.

“Stock car racing is a natural fit for our brand and we gained a lot of traction from our broadcast sponsorship of both series in 2015. So the decision to renew this sponsorship for another three years was an easy one,” explained TYRES & MORE®Marketing Manager, Natashe Taljaard. The 2016 Sprint Cup officially commenced on 21 February with the “Daytona 500” race at the Daytona International Speedway, with driver Kyle Busch as the defending champion. The 36-race series, which also features an additional four exhibition races, will conclude with the “Ford EcoBoost 400” race on 20 November at the Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Similarly, the Xfinity Series kicked off on 20 February at Daytona and the 33-race series will conclude on 19 November in Miami. Defending champion Chris Buescher is not sticking around to defend his title however, but is racing instead in the Sprint Cup.

“There`s never a dull moment in NASCAR. The cars are spectacularly fast and can reach speeds greater than 320 km/h, but that speed isn`t always paired with a comparable aerodynamic package and is moreover coupled with a large and heavy frame – compared to single-seater racing – so power slides are common and the action is constant. It`s an adrenaline-fueled ride from start to finish, and one that Tyres & More is proud to bring SuperSport viewers,” Taljaard concluded.

TYRES & MORE® cautions NASCAR fans who feel inspired to go a little heavy on the accelerator to remember that while driving should indeed be fun, responsible and safe driving is key. For the complete 2016 race schedules click here
